Many might wonder what a Mexican like me thinks of Donald Trump, especially how his image is perceived on the other side of the border. The answer really depends on many factors. In my case, although I don’t agree with many of his actions or views, I recognize that Trump is a fascinating figure who challenges the current global order, particularly in opposition to what many call «false progressivism.»
The world, now more than ever, seems to be in decline. Music no longer holds the same impact it once did, cinema is going through one of its worst financial and creative phases, and brands like Disney have chosen to embrace «woke» content that has alienated a large portion of their audience, trying to please a loud minority.
In my view, too much power has been given to groups that seek to impose their agenda through polarization, fracturing the way society thinks. We now live in times where everyone is focused on their own world, and the human connection, along with appreciation for the arts, has been lost.
Trump doesn’t represent radically new ideas, but he is a leader who, in his own way, wants to restore what once worked in a system that is starting to fail. So, with him, the future remains uncertain, and all of us, in one way or another, will have to adapt to this new reality.
Why not make the world great again?
